The BMW Group is offering you an exciting job opportunity as Senior Customs Specialist.

Task

Your position will provide full support to the Customs Manager and Tax & Customs area and take responsibility for all customs compliance issues of the BMW do Brazil operations in Brazil. The main focus of the position will be to operate the day to day customs processes as well as to ensure proper compliance with all relevant customs / tax laws.

The objective of the position is also to support the implementation of BMW AG international customs / tax policies and projects in the Brazil market.Your role would involve the implementation of internal processes and controls to ensure compliance with Brazil customs law (including preparation and/or review of Customs topics and updating procedural controls on an ongoing basis and overview of third party providers.)

In this function you will be responsible to provide proactive monitoring of customs law changes in Brazil and assessing their impact on BMW Brazil and the BMW Group and review import transactions for accurate tariff classification and values and maintain relevant records of such review and classification, including external advice and tax rulings.

You will be responsible for ensure compliance with any Municipal, State or Federal preferential tax incentive programs together with the tax area and keeping control of all relevant special import processes (e.g.: Temporary Admission, Consignment, etc).

You will be in contact with the operational business teams, ensuring timely and accurate provision of data to support keep the company run the operation in accordance with the regulations and mitigating interruptions in the supply chain.

Additionally you will be responsible for identify opportunities to reduce tax and other costs and implementation of Customs Projects along with Tax & Customs department at the headquarters.

Qualification

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Foreign Trade or Logistics.

Knowledgements/Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Customs processes and Brazilian Customs legislation.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in team.
• Intercultural work area.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Softway, Tecwin.

Experience:

• Strong professional experience in a customs department of an international group.
• Solid Experience in tariff classification, free trade agreements, temporary admission process, ex tarifário, blue line among others.

Language:

• Fluence in English is essential.
• Portuguse Speaker.
